For advice or planning permission, residents must contact or submit applications to the Local Planning Authority (LPA), which is Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council, further information here.
After the LPA has received an application it will undertake a period of consultation where views on the proposed development can be expressed. The formal consultation period will normally last for 21 days, and the local planning authority will identify and consult a number of different groups, including Parish Councils who are statutory consultees in the planning process and must be informed of all planning applications, and any amendments to those applications, within the parish (as defined in the map below).
If an application is refused and goes to appeal, the parish council is invited to comment on the appeal.
