Set in the leafy country lanes of Burghclere on the Berkshire Hampshire border, the Portal Hall has a history dating back to 1889 when it was agreed to build a memorial to the late Canon Portal.
The Main Hall is bright and spacious and can comfortably seat 160 people as an audience, 120 for a sit down meal, or 100 if a dance area also is required.
The smaller Club Room – includes it own separate entrance, accessible toilet and kitchenette. It is 220 sq ft (21ft by 10ft). It is an ideal space for meetings, talks or workshops. It can also be booked with the Main Hall to provide a ‘quiet’room.
