We have been made aware that the police are receiving a large number of reported vehicle thefts in rural areas across across the Basingstoke & Deane borough, with many of those being in the Burghclere area. The hot spots are the Sandham car park, lay-by outside Highclere Castle, Beacon Hill car park and Brownhill car park in Penwood. They have increased patrols and encourage people to report any incidents via the usual methods.
You are reminded not to leave valuables in vehicles especially if they are on display.
